My Phone's Home Screen Got Brighter

After a bit more than three months of use, a domestic phone’s screen suddenly became bright and crisp. The phone was always running hot and draining battery, needing a charge almost every day. It felt strange, so I uninstalled more than half of the apps I rarely used, and the system battery monitor showed the home screen was using the most power. That puzzled me — the screen was on for the least amount of time, so how could it be the biggest drain? I tried changing the phone’s default wallpaper to a seascape photo I had taken, and in an instant the home screen became crisp…… Sometimes changing your surroundings is a good thing, even if you haven’t yet found what you’re looking for. Time began in graduation season, and now we either start families or rush about or stay busy and reap the rewards. Still racing against time, but those days will not come again. Your environment determines what you become and what you have. The phone screen lit up, and I suddenly thought of something. The first time, or rather the very first time, I came to Shenzhen, there was pain and helplessness. I came at first just to survive, working on an assembly line. I didn’t want that kind of life — dull, repetitive, insipid. Either change or change places; changing wasn’t working, so I left. I once felt life was so exhausting that I wanted to give up. Off the steady assembly line, the days went by quite rootlessly. I once had all of it, and now it drifts away like clouds and does not return. What changes you is not only time, but also your environment…… I love these accidental gains, these momentary flashes of insight. I have come, and I no longer beg……
