I had been using the thinkphp framework for quite a long time, and recently after changing jobs I got familiar with it again, only to find that this framework is actually pretty good to use. From the code’s models and function calls, to data output, static generation and debugging… each kind of data presents a different logic, while at the same time sharing the same thinking. PHP has the ideas of Java, yet you can’t just copy Java’s methods wholesale. Today a colleague kept agonizing over this problem, when really he was overthinking it, mixing two different languages together. The ideas can be similar, but the usage differs. Suddenly it struck me that people’s thinking works no differently: related things get linked together and a conclusion is drawn, yet in the end it loses out to the answer that practice gives. Using a framework isn’t hard, and there’s no special trick to it — sometimes you’re just overthinking and your thinking goes off track. The shortcut to success is the same way: you don’t have to have made it by 30, and you don’t have to get certified, it’s just a matter of how much time has settled and how you understand the world. We can’t change what we fundamentally are, but we can work toward changing in the direction of the future. It’s very simple, everything is easy…

Wuzhen, a thousand-year-old ancient town in Chinese history. A great place for tourism — at first glance it has nothing to do with an internet conference. The historic buildings left behind by thousands of years combined with today’s technology throw up far too many questions. Following those questions, I went to Baidu first. Baidu only gave this simple introduction, and the internet conference was mentioned after it. I was still a bit dizzy: why on earth hold an internet conference in Wuzhen, why not in any one of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou or Shenzhen? Only later did I find out that Wuzhen was the earliest and fastest place in the country to adopt the internet, and the place where the internet economy is most developed — and of course, the organizers also deliberately wanted the internet conference to be held in a small town. And so the first World Internet Conference began in Wuzhen: no asphalt roads, no glass windows, everything kept as it originally was.
